Fish as “a team” it doubles your chances!

This week the one thing I noticed were lots of  “team effort” in catching fish. Dave & Lee of Sacramento got into some Crappie holes. Using worms for bait they took home 7 Crappie and the biggest weighed 2 lb. 1 oz. They also caught 2 limits of Trout and a 4 lb. Cat. Megan Van Dore & Ryan Hylbak of Santa Rosa trolled firetiger lures 26′ down and landed 4 nice Trout. Their biggest one was a 6 lb. 4 oz. Beauty!  David Callison & Kevin Donovan of Yuba City always have good luck fishing our lake, they are “old timers” and they have great knowledge of where to go to catch fish. They caught 10 Bass using live crawdads and the biggest one was a 5 lb. 4 oz. Spotted Bass.

Carmen Salazar from Yuba City teamed up with her daughter Lupe Byork of Oregon and really showed what they were made of. Those 2 lovely ladies landed 3 gorgeous Trout from shore using powerbait in front of their campsite and their biggest Trout was 4 lb. 8 oz.

Leonard Guidici of Dixon limits out on Trout trolling with a Needlefish lure in the middle of the lake and hooks a monster Trout weighing 5 lb. 4 oz.  Craig Riedberger nets a 6 lb. 4 oz. Trout using powerbait from his boat which was anchored in by the buoys in the Open Area.  Trey Pundt of Antelope tossed a worm from shore and captured a 3-1/4 oz. Catfish.

INFAMOUS KID CATCHES

Congratulations to Derek Biaggi of Tracy for his awesome FIRST FISH catch! Derek is the grandson of Craig & Tammy Miller who raised their children at Collins Lake already and now have the opportunity of sharing time here with their grandson.  Can’t beat that!! Derek’s 1st Trout catch even had a “free ice cream tag” on the fish….

Mother & daughter (Morgan & Julia Maddox) teamed up for a day of fishing and landed an awesome 4 lb. 8 oz. Bass. They were fishing from a boat under the powerlines with powerbait. Dylan Anderson is a fishaholic and never misses the chance of fishing with Dad (Greg). Dylan shows off a 6 lb. Gigantic Trout  which he caught from the shore by the dam.

The Hobbs Family who own the local pizza place decided to try their luck catfishing with pizza dough and by golly it worked! They hooked a 3 lb. 5 oz. Catfish on their famous pizza dough….

Sean & Meagan Molloy trolled a Rapala by the bridge for their Trout catch and George Paul & Bowman Wells of Roseville caught a catfish from their site on powerbait.  Another great powerbait catch was a 1-1/2 lb. Trout to Kyle Schwall of Oliverhurst from the rental boat dock.
