Trout are down, Sunfish are up

Even though we didn’t see as many trout catches this week, the quality is still amazing.  At the end of last week Don & Dana Feryance ended their camping trip with a huge 5 lb. Rainbow and sent us a photo via their i phone.

Vic & Norm from Lincoln topped the charts this week with their gigantic 6 lb. 12 oz. trout along with a 3 lb. 12 oz. trout, trolling a broken back Rapala.

Scott Romaine from Menifee used chunky cheese PowerBait near the dam and hooked onto a 5 lb. 12 oz. Rainbow as well.  Kindra Crosthwaite from Pleasant Grove caught her 5 lb. 4 oz. Bow when trolling a Rapala on the east side.

The Crappie & Bluegill showed up in numbers this week!  Jaydon Sorels brought up a stringer of Crappie which he caught on worms in Elmer’s Cove.  The McKay family caught 15 Bluegill on the east side of the lake using worms also.

Matthew Clayton of Yuba City appeared with a stringer of 20 Crappie, which he caught near the boat dock on mini jigs he said.

Patrick Farley from Discovery Bay lands a limit of trout early in the day on rainbow PowerBait by the dam.  Joe Jones from Granite Bay caught a nice assortment (bass, crappie & trout) in Elmer’s Cove from his campsite, using worms for bait.

Leilani Fiorenti & Norieta Kawewichi caught a stringer of trout in Elmer’s Cove using PowerBait.  Pete Henderson & Bob Boyer fished across the lake trolling a Wedding Ring Spinner and a worm and took home 9 trout!
