Jerry Freeman of Live Oak started the month off with some night fishing for Catfish in Elmer’s Cove.  He used sardines and caught three cats, the biggest was 5 lb. 5 oz.  Billy Buickerood and Eli Kane used their own concoction and hooked a 5 lb. Cat as well but theirs was off the sand beach area.

The Zaski men hooked a monster Cat off the dock, that big guy weighed in at 17 lb. 8 oz. and they used frozen anchovies for their bait of choice.  Their friend Bailey Johnson landed a 6 lb. Cat the next night, also from the dock on anchovies.  Tanner Conyers hooked a 7 lb. CAT in front of his campsite on salmon eggs just today!

Thanks to Craig Ogina for sending in the great pictures of his Catfish since the store was closed when they left.  His scale said 16 lb. 2 oz. and his daughter Adriana was struggling to hold it up on the scale to get a reading.

Elaine Briefman has been here three different days in the past week and caught a couple of trout and a few Bass which she released back in the lake.  The Bass were caught on a pink plastic worm she was tossing from the rental boat dock.  Jeanne Tong caught two Bass averaging 1-1/2 lb. each using top water plugs from her boat.  Rhonda Louie of San Carlos limited out on Bass (biggest 2-1/4 lb) and she also used top water plugs down by the dam.
