It’s so great to see the sun

We are looking forward to a great week of sunny warm weather in the 70’s.  We are also expecting a trophy plant every week from here on out including this week (not here yet)!

Alan Tomiyama fished in the rain last weekend and hooked a 3 lb. Trout on powerbait by the dam.  He also sent us a fantastic picture of the most beautiful “double rainbow” I have ever seen and it is featured on our front page as “photo of the week”!!

Little Jordan Swanson caught his 1st Fish at Collins Lake, he was fishing with a worm by the dam and hooked a Rainbow Trout.  Ray Pray of Marysville can’t get enough of this place, he was back again this week with his sister Judy Mitchell and they each limited out on trout using inflated nightcrawlers by the dam!

Jerry & Nichole of Modesto hooked a 3 lb. Rainbow by their campsite below our store on rainbow PowerBait.  Christian of Live Oak also used rainbow PowerBait on the beach and netted a trout.  Robert Alvis (son) & Al Alvis (dad) of Antelope have consistently caught fish from Collins Lake and this year is no different!  They left with four nice Trout yesterday  and they almost always troll near the surface with Rapalas.  Bill McVey of Elverta used green PowerBait and fished from shore and caught a limit of Trout (5 total)!

Another great stringer of Trout was brought in yesterday by Bruce Gifford of Elk Grove and he never had to leave his campsite!  His biggest weighed in at 3 pounds, Bruce was using chartreuse PowerBait.  Orange PowerBait lured a nice trout in for Mike Egan of Sacramento yesterday from shore in the Open Area.

We are expecting a week of blissful 70 degree weather and with the return of the sunshine we definitely  have seen lots more fish coming out!
